Introduction
The USB Data Logger from eLabtronics
monitors voltages on the pins of the ports of the USB programmer. It
is also able to manipulate the voltages on the pins of the ports by
setting the pins high or low. The data logger comes with a series of
test probes which can be used to apply voltages to the pins of ports
A, B and C of the USB programmer. The USB Data Logger is user
friendly and easy to learn, making it suitable for schools and
universities.

Multimeter Mode
In multimeter mode,
the voltage level on any of the five analog-to-digital (ATD)
channels on port A can be monitored. Both analog and digital
representation of the voltages levels are presented. The ability to
compare voltages between channels is also available in multimeter
mode. The ATD conversion values are stored in a log, and this data
can be exported to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

Digital Manipulation Mode
In digital
manipulation mode, the digital input/output(s) of ports A, B and C
are monitored. The graphical user interface provides an LED
representation of the bits of the port, through which the state of
the bits is viewed. The user can set the bits high or low by
clicking on the LED for the corresponding bit. Like in multimeter
mode, a log is created for each port and this data can be exported
to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Digital manipulation mode is
extremely useful for project debugging.
