About |
|
Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian nation bordered by China, Kazakhstan,
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. It is a poor, mountainous country with a
predominantly agricultural economy. Wool, meat and dairy products
are major commodities.

With the help of a proven microchip programming
technology, CoreChart, and a well established, government supported
and respected local NGO, ‘STLI ‘, a program
has been implemented
to train, equip and empower a group of local village people in
Kyrgyzstan to be the fore-runners in developing their dream of
reaching out to their local communities and neighbouring countries.

 |
Underprivileged villagers from the regional
village of Talas
are using CoreChart
to offer
control solutions to local businesses. For example, the village team
has learned to program microchips, through a sponsorship program, to
optimize the timing and temperature control and data logging of a
Candle Production facility. The aim is to dramatically improve
efficiency and hence the profitability of the business.

projects.

Testimonial from Colin, Co-ordinator of
the Kyrgyzstani Program |

Peng & Miro began a dream to introduce the poor of the world to a
technology that could make them competitive, self sustaining and
self reliant. I first came across them while on holiday in
Australia. I am a volunteer overseas, and was looking for a way to
introduce new technology into where I worked in Kyrgyzstan. After
attending a course at my local TAFE college, I discovered a
brilliant program called CoreChart. Curious about it, I rang the
supplier, eLabtronics, and went to meet Peng. Very quickly I
discovered that Peng and his partner Miro, were both committed to
raising the level of education of ordinary people, not only in
Australia, but especially overseas.

|
After a number of conversations, I
learned about their passion for helping the poor people of the
world, and they kindly sponsored me with hardware, robotics
equipment and software, so that I could begin to build
MicroProcessor technology courses and applications, based on
Corechart and its companion program, ezCircuit Designer. The
technology is brand new in Kyrgyzstan, and the students learned it
very quickly and were greatly encouraged by the ease of use of the
software and the hardware supplied to me by eLabtronics. My team of
3 core people are encouraged, committed and enthusiastic about the
possibilities. Together with a Peace Corp business volunteer we will
soon begin a business with two major arms – Training and Project
Applications.

Wind Speed measurement (Power generation possibility),
2. Candle
Making Temperature Control (Making good quality candles),
3. Pump
temperature Monitoring, (Keeping it above freezing in sub-zero
temperatures),
4. Pasteurisation
(Monitoring Milk Boiling to help prevent Brucellosis),
5. Soil
Control (monitoring green house conditions)

eLabtronics and I have worked together as a team to get this project
going, and I am very much appreciative of their ongoing technical
and business advice, without which, the project wouldn’t have
happened. Problem solving, suggestions, advice and providing parts
has been an essential part of our collaborative efforts. Funds
permitting, I am looking to get to the World Congress on IT
(WCIT2008) conference with one of my students, to present our case
on the world stage. Peng has been doing a lot of work behind the
scenes, telling our story and encouraging others. So, all in all, we
have all been helping each other. My students and I are much
appreciative of eLabtronics and their level of expertise, advice,
professionalism and help.
