in collaboration with the University of South Australia,
Flinders University and the Australian Science &
Mathematics School (recently Adelaide University) have
initiated the award winning CoreChart Robotic Peer Mentoring
(RPM) program. CoreChart is an eLabtronics invention
which simplifies the programming of microchips.
Beyond stimulating students interest in
science and mathematics learning, the program aims to develop
a world class microchip innovation skills base to grow the
economy.
Through their involvement in the program
young people will learn about robotics and microchips, develop
problem solving skills and generally gain an appreciation of
engineering as a career and profession.
The RPM Industry Projects provide the
students an opportunity to accumulate in-depth industry
experience sought after by employers while in schools.
The program is strongly supported by the
Premier's Science and Research Fund and Industry Sponsorships.
It is recognised nationally by Engineers Australia and the
Electronics Industry Association. The program has been
endorsed by the Australian Electrical Electronics
Manufacturing Association AEEMA for a national roll out.
